Letux

El complejo entramado urbano y los estrechos callejones de Letux nos hablan de su pasado musulman.

Letux is situated in the centre of the Campo de Belchite region. On totally flat terrain, the streets of the centre of Letux are traced, whose narrow and impossible streets and side streets tell about a Muslim past.

The Plaza de España, the point where several of these streets converge, widens out, enabling visitors to enjoy two of the most significant buildings of this municipality, the 17th century Baroque style parish church of Virgen de las Nieves, and the Stately Home of the Marques de Lazan, a typical Aragonese construction, raised next to the remains of the old castle whose tower still remains.

This municipality is linked to a horse-riding centre, which, in recent years has managed to add value to the region with all types of equestrian exhibitions. Horse-lovers, visiting Campo de Belchite, can enjoy rides through steppe terrain, where silence and tranquillity accompany the riders as an added gift.

Next to the horse-riding centre, several facilities offer services to visitors. The swimming pools, the Marques de Lazan Hotel, dedicated to the equestrian world, with themed paintings in each one of its rooms and whose cuisine is specialised in Avila chops and Hake “al orio”, as well as a traditional dairy that produces tasty goat and sheep cheese.
