EL BAÚL DE LAGATA

This Interpretation Centre, El Baúl de Lagata, opened its doors in 2011. It is dedicated to life in this small Aragonese municipality between the years 1910 and 1975, and covers all the aspects of everyday life and of all ages.

Its panels are divided into several themes such as those that deal with "Life", which offer a journey through the different stages: Childhood, youth, middle-age and old age. All of them are well-documented with pictures and completed with folklore tales, songs, “jotas” (typical song/dance of Aragon) or riddles.

Other panels are dedicated to household chores, gastronomy, festivals, music and folklore, popular architecture and water.

Apart from these exhibition panels, this interpretation centre also has an audiovisual presentation and several equipment that enable visitors to listen to “jotas”, popular songs and declarations made by witnesses of the period, who talk about those years.
