HERMITAGE OF THE VIRGEN DEL CARRASCAL

A group of buildings (dating from the 15th century), which include the original hermitage. Over the years, it underwent several extensions until the 18th century, when it underwent an important restoration. In the 19thcentury, the Sanctuary began to offer its definite version with the termination of new buildings, such as the stables, yards, hermit’s house, lodgings for pilgrims, etc. although the single nave hermitage is the one that stands out the most.  This is divided into five sections covered with barrel vaults. The quadrangular ground plan chapel is at the foot. The exterior stands out for its simple volume and it is made of brick and mud rendered with plaster.
