Fruit

The fruit production of Campo de Belchite is concentrated on the Aguasvivas riverbank and in the municipalities of Lagata, Samper del Salz, Letux and Almonacid de la Cuba.

Among the fruit varieties produced in Campo de Belchite we can find the Blanquilla and Conference pears, Golden, Fuji and Verde Doncella apples; late peach and plums.

The Blanquilla or water pear is the most outstanding of all these types of fruit. It is a small-sized product compared with pears from other areas, but its sweet flavour and its juicy texture are highly appreciated by consumers.

Harvests from the fruit trees of Campo de Belchite are sold to national markets, such as Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastian and mainly in Aragon.
