Known as one of the best singers to disseminate the “jota” of the 20th century.  Born in Lecera in 1922 he began to record “jotas” in the 50s of the last century.  There are more than 150 “jota” songs recorded with his work and his work in favour of the “jota” was rewarded with many distinctions, such as the Santa Isabel Award of 1972, Honorary Citizen of Lecera in 1977 (where a street was named after him) and the medal of Zaragoza City Council in 2003, which he shared with the painter, Jose Manuel Broto, the coach, Victor Fernandez and the businessman, Manuel Teruel.  In October 2003, he was named Adoptive Citizen of Zaragoza, where a street was named after him and in January 2004, a great tribute was paid to him in the Teatro Principal.
