There are still bakeries in Campo de Belchite that use traditional wood-burning ovens, making exquisite loaves of bread with a crunchy crust and tender juicy breadcrumbs, which give off the smell of the wood used to bake them. Eating a slice of bread is one of the pleasures that has almost been forgotten.

Apart from the loaves of bread, these establishments produce a large variety of traditional products using top quality ingredients. For example, sticks of bread, “cañaos”, a kind of bun prepared with bread dough and dusted with sugar; delicate cupcakes made of olive oil, cakes made with lard, flaky pastries, "roscones” (ring-shaped buns), apple tarts, among many other specialities.
