Heritage of the civil war

The marks of the Spanish civil war are present in many municipalities of Campo de Belchite. These marks are overwhelming in the ruins of the old town of Belchite, where lofty walls of houses still remain and whose structure suffers a tug-of-war between pride and slovenliness, towers and arches of churches whose determination to remain intact have ended up supporting air, or the sky itself. And remains of the conflict can be found throughout the entire territory, such as trenches, aviation fields, dug-out caves, etc.
