Ethnographic heritage

26 Jul 2021

The ethnographic heritage is splattered throughout the entire territory and it is a good example of the way of life of past generations. The fountains provided the municipality with water before running water reached each one of the homes. One of the ethnographic remains that visitors may find on any of their walks are the “neveras” or wells dug in the ground with a stone conical-shape dome. These structures were used to preserve the snow in layers, and obtain ice for many different uses.

The marks of the railway and the Spanish Civil War can be discovered in some mythical corners of Campo de Belchite.
