Aguasvivas river

This modest tributary of the Ebro runs through Campo de Belchite from south to east, reaching the province of Teruel in Moneva and leaving us in Almochuel, to end its route flowing out into the town of La Zaida. Its name suggests a river with considerable volume but the reality is quite different, as really it just has a token presence along the majority of its course. Even so, waterworks such as the Moneva reservoir, the Almochuel reservoir and the spectacular Roman dam of Almonacid de la Cuba show that in the past it was much more splendid. These places, together with spots such as Pozo de los Chorros, Prado de Lagata, the walks of Samper del Salz and Letux are the best places to enjoy leisure time in contact with nature. Another good proposal is to walk along the network of short signposted trails, which pass through towns and villages such as Belchite, Almonacid de la Cuba, Letux, Samper del Salz or Lagata, which favour walks among fruit trees, vegetable gardens, gullies and waterholes.
