ETHNOGRAPHY ROOM

The ethnography room of Lecera is located in the Culture Centre of Lecera. This room is dedicated to everyday activities of a household in this municipality in the most recent past. The space is divided into several areas that emulate rooms of what these houses could have been like.

The kitchen or the fireplace, around which the family lives of these people evolved, displays typical utensils of these rooms: Pots, wrought iron stands, pans, heaters and grills, among others.

A bedroom from the same period in time is represented in another space, with original furniture and decorative elements of times gone by. With attractive curiosities such as a baby’s Moses basket and small high-chairs.

One part of the room contains traditional clothing and displays old cotton sheets, fine lace and delicate pieces, as well as samples of traditional clothing of the inhabitants of these areas, mainly farmers.

Liberal professions also have a place in this small space, displaying an old office, and a collection of old typewriters.

Religious art also has its place.
