There are still some free-range flocks of sheep in Campo de Belchite, which graze every day on the hills or in the areas that have been left fallow, achieving an equilibrium between the agriculture and stockbreeding of the territory.
And what is more important, getting these specimens to eat natural food and with their daily exercise they provide a more juicy meat with less fat and a typical flavour.
The Campo de Belchite lamb can be found in some of the butcher’s shops in the area, which sell meat provided by their own flocks.
